MDRud216
I am making a farely large mod for my fist one. I am doing it on my own and it dose not add any new meshes or anything but, I can't get my textures for the terrain to look realistic. They are blocky looking and on the coast it goes from sand to grass and it just looks so unatural... any suggestions?
Geonox
hmmm mabey you could make new textures but this time make them larger hmm? I don't know if it works but mabey you could make them twice as bigger as the normal ground texture. I don't know if this works because the normal skin textures can only ben 256x128 128x128 or 256x256 otherwise they won't work I thought. But hey try it and see if it works! ^_^
Peregrine
Minor correction, textures can be 512x512 as well.

Geonox
owk I meant that you have to make new textures...with 256x256 I meant the size of the texture. You have to make new land textures which are twice as big as the normal landtextures. And you have to use those to get a more realistic look. The textures are more detailed then...And for the size of the textures: they can't be larger than 128x128 256x256 or 512x512. Otherwise the TCS will not open them and make them white. MDRud216
okay, and could I even use a photo of sand that is the right size? or make the texture in a paint program. what program do you recomend for making your own?
Geonox
I'm using adobe 6 and 7 but another program like paint shop orso is also a very good program. Allmost all the drawing programs are good as long as they are not to basic like paint :P
