rmm200
I have been using Vortex since the alpha was released. It is good enough, and solid enough, that I have not used NMM or MO2 for Skyrim SE since then. There are a number of rough edges.Vortex crashes every time I remove a mod. Restart vortex, and the mod was correctly removed.Utility section cuts off part of the top entries. Needs a bit more room.Mods section lists mods twice. Once for enabled, and once for the same archive never installed.Mods install order never populates.Dependencies were not working - but that may have been fixed in latest build. Seems fine now.Plugins page seems kind of random if the plugin gets enabled when the mod is enabled.I have to check plugins page every time to see if my new mod actually got enabled.I really really like the purge mods function. My Skyrim SE install folder winds up clean after that - and it is fast.Deploy mods is also really fast. I guess I am sold on the hard links...Having Steam change the Skyrim SE install directory kind of messes up vortex - but I beat it into submission. It is doable.Tannin his very own self stepped in to help me with a mod problem - now that was impressive. All for now... Edited to add: The new ENB feature really messes up on mods that include enb files like enb.ini. They get partially installed and in the wrong directory... This needs to be fixed, or for now a note in the FAQ. This is incredibly hard to find... Edited again to add: The feature I miss most from MO is the ability to tell what mod contributed a particular file in the data tree. I am having a devil of a time telling "Did this file come from the mod I wanted it to?".

rmm200
Be sure to report those bugs and missing features in the feedback part of vortex Silly me - just because this forum it titled Vortex / Vortex Feedback - I thought that is what I was doing.Went back into Vortex and discovered the Feedback facility.Created a bunch of entries, copied from those listed above.Man we need a YouTube video on using Vortex. I did not even know Feedback was there. I should make a Feedback entry on that...
HardwareSc8
The point of this alpha test was to throw users in with no guides, no YouTube videos, no instructions at all... Probably, when it goes open Monday, then some instructions will be forthcoming.
HalfLazy
Yep, we're like a bunch of monkeys sent into space with a little byciclette, two grapefruits and a copy of Tolstoj's "War and Peace".It's up to us to do something with  Edit: I also haven't spot the feedback button too, for the first two days
rmm200
Let me also add:I am extremely happy with the way this Alpha test is going. The three (3!) patch builds have fixed pretty much everything I was having problems with.It is looking good for a Beta release on the 12th.I have switched over to using Vortex for both Skyrim SE and Fallout 4. For me, it is replacing both MO 2 and NMM.I do not try using multiple mod organizers together - that is a fool's game.
