JLazarillo
Just curious if there's an easy format for changing what talents are in what trees, and in what order. For example, I have a .gda file that I can use to remove the 2-Handed weapon requirement from Indomitable. If I then wanted to add it to the shield tree in place of, say, Shield Block, is there a direct way to go about it? Or if I wanted to swap the order of Regeneration and Heal for Creation Mages? balmz
for editing the order, you need to go to 2da, one of the spreadsheets lists the order that they go in, with that, check the ids then change the requirements in the file, then save it, export it as a gda with the tool
JLazarillo
Much obliged. Guess I'll dig in and see what I can make work!
JLazarillo
Okay, slight follow-up. It seems the abilities are tied to their various trees in the "guitype" category of ABI_base, but I still can't find how/where they're tied to specific positions. So far, attempting to swap stuff from one tree to another works on a technical level but completely disrupts the GUI for every other ability in the tree. And swapping positions of two abilities in the same tree seems to disrupt the others to the point that some disappear. I've only messed with a small sample so far, using a GDA I already had with some abilities, but is there another variable I'm missing somewhere? sapphim
http://www.datoolset.net/wiki/ABI_2da Organizing abilities in the GUI is very limited. But if all you're looking to do is swap the position of some abilities with each other, they're ordered by prereqability.
JLazarillo
Success! Had to rejigger much more of the list than I expected, so I revamped quite a bit, but I'm liking how it's turned out, at least so far. Thanks guys!
