hyralux Posted April 4, 2012 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Maybe this has been requested before, but after a bit of searching through the nexus I have yet to find a mod that adds more students to winterhold.If an experienced modder that has worked with some AI could try and create this mod I'm sure it would be quite a popular mod. I'm sure a lot of people would agree after some thought that the College of Winterhold is quite empty and just not very vivacious in any capacity. I never was that big of a fan of the College of Winterhold quests compared to The Mages Guild of Oblivion, But I think with some tweaks it could be a better experience for all. What I suggest is to incorporate more students to the college, with their own Ai and schedules to follow,( waking up early and then heading to the hall of elements or wandering the grounds, etc.) Also you could differentiate the skill of the students by what robes they are wearing. It doesn't really have to be more complicated than that really. It would just give the player a feeling of more competition and really make them feel like they are in a place of learning and skill. Thanks for considering it! Each student should have their own room to sleep in and hang out during later hours of the night, from me playing through the quests I've noticed there are plenty of extra rooms for more residents. Lastly I think that it would be great to give each student a specific schedule,(each one uniquely wandering the grounds or reading in the library), that would keep the students from feeling unrealistic Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm in the middle of another big mod at the moment, my Main Quest Overhaul (http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/634471-main-questcivil-war-overhaul/), but I think it will actually probably lead up to an expanded Mage's College. I don't really want to mess with the college itself, by adding any new world spaces, but I like the idea of adding at least enough students to fill all the vacant rooms. Maybe even some young students, like a Breton child with an exceptional gift in arcane arts. I don't know much about setting up AI packages for NPCs, but I've learned enough about scripting and quest design in the last week to set up simple quests or edit existing ones. I really loved being a student at the college and an expansion on that stage or having tolfdir lead some more classes would be really nice but a great thing to add to their time would be meditation or something, it would be great to see the school live on like your class wasn't the only class ever Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The mages College quest line was really good I thought, but far too short. I'd love more to do after finishing it. More story driven quests, and more (better) Radiant quests.
