simonp92
i want to know if there is mod that duplicates items?? something like the arch-mages chest but this should be able to duplicate every item in the game... this is not just something i in particular would use, this would be great for player who have: lets say a castle mod woth guards, and you'd want all of your guards to wear a special armor.. but you only got one sample of it.. please tell me if this already made?? and if not is there anybody out there whos up for making this?? :thanks: anyway
ApocalypticBiscuit
get a chest, console a bunch of scrolls, (how many of any item you want to duplicate), double click that scroll in the inventory, then drop the item you'd like to duplicate, and pick them up and put them in a chest, along with your scrolls so you dont get overencumbered, and you can also pick them up later in the chest for more duplicating...but im sure a modder could probably be able to do it, but it would ruin the lore of the game, make it less realistic
LoginToDownload
If you'd like, I made the attached .esp a while back for personal use when I had trouble getting the scroll-drop to work. Type "Set Duping.item to (FormID)" in the console, (The reference's Form ID. You can get it by clicking the object with the console open in the world) and, if you want, "Set duping.ItemNum to (whatever number you want the game to add. Defaults to 1)". At the next quest-tick, you'll get ItemNum Items.
dra6o0n
A more neat and tidy idea, is to make a quest about a mad magician (scientist lol) who discovered a way to replicate things. So he made a machine that looks like a giant upside-down test tube glass. He also can be fitted into the lore by adding books more specifically on dwelmer civilization. He could be a 1/10 of a decendent, or he could be just a mad magician, who happen to found a way (using dwelmer technology), to "copy" a object, and "paste" it into the next tube. You could have a quest go on with his experiments, and it will mainly be collecting ingredients and parts. This will make it a bit of a side quest, kind of like midas magic and the aurum machine. The only huge difference is that objects aren't the only things susceptible to cloning, there are still rules to follow, even for a mad man. Let say you somehow entered the machine, and did something you normally don't do... Like using a companion mod of some sort and get a dog, or goblin to enter the same chamber. The result won't be pretty... It would be like fusing 2 creatures in that state, but all of this is just an idea.
simonp92
thanks for the good replys.. i alder ready know a great way to duplicate using the console.. problem is that if you use the console fore very big things.. say cloning you own char and then killing him and take the items..when i first discovered the console i used it all the time and my game got screwed up pretty bad.. some NPC´s just said: "I have no greating" weird..?? now i am scared if using any of your methods would screw it up agian..is there any way without using the console to copy both misc. and armor?? LoginToDownload
For my method, that's just setting quest variables. A quest script does all the real work. If you'll give me a few hours, (Gotta go soon) I could rig up a version that uses only a spell. EDIT: Nevermind... The method I was planning on is liable to cause a lot of trouble. Will try something else later, but I'll need to learn some things.

Naminea
Theres another one i know of, but it might have been fixed with patches or expachions. Swing your weapon and half way through the swing open your invantory. click your arrows twice then drop the item u want to dublicate. when this happebns it will end up like this Number of item x Number of arrows. Note: that if you have a low end computer this may result in a crash, the spawning of so many objects in such a small area is bound to crash even a higher end computer, i only recomand making small amounts at a time. My computer has 4g of RAM and a 512 Cideo card, even it crash from doing this.
LoginToDownload
Well, it didn't work... Sorry... At any rate, with the one I posted earlier, you wouldn't be at any risk of breaking your game with it. It only needs the console to set the quest variables.
QQuix
The arrow trick worked well for me. No Crash. I used it a lot for clothes and it worked with almost all of them. Just tried and it is not working anymore. As Naminea predicted, it must have been fixed. Pitty . . . it was funny. When I found it (in YouTube) I filled The Best Defense with items up to my knees. (FPS down to almost nothing, of course).
