Boxed Items and Components (Compact Storage/Display)

So ever since I first started tweaking around with mods, there's always been one that has eluded me, either not existing or just not doing what I wanted it to do. So I've decided to come to the people of the nexus to heed my call for a compact storage mod which could also serve a decorative function.

A bit of background, there's a mod (which I will not name here in case that's not allowed) which changes up caps a bit. Caps are given weight, albeit not that much on their own, they can still cost you a couple pounds if carried in bulk. To revolve this problem, the mod allows you to create cap tins and coin boxes (using the caps stash and bobby pin box textures respectively) which can be crafted or found. these boxes are Aid items used to effectively store caps outside of one's inventory, with the coin box holding 250 caps and the cap tin 1000. To store the caps, one must have the appropriate amount of caps in their inventory (lets say your trying to store 250 caps in a coin box for sakes of explaining this) and must activate the storage container in their aid category. The game would take the coin box and the 250 caps, and you would be given "Caps stash-250" To retrieve your caps, you simply used the full stash, and you would be given back 250 caps and your empty coin box. This brilliantly simple system gave me an idea. If this could be done with caps, why not with other items?

How the mod would work:

New craftable Item(s) in the chemistry station, "Storage Box" using just the regular in game texture for cardboard boxes (you know, the open ones that people like to toss things in, like the one in the castle next to the cooking stove storing cans). The crafting recipe would cost 1 Plastic and 1 Cloth to make 1 of these storage boxes, and there would be variants depending on what would be stored inside. I think storage for food and crafting components would be perfect, and maybe even ammo could be done in a similar manner, using a craftable ammo box using the 5mm box texture.

Storage Box- Cram

Storage Box- Pork n' Beans

Storage Box- Purified Water

Storage Box- Nuka Cola

And etc. for food items. Component Boxes would look similar:

Storage Box- Steel

Storage Box- Adhesive

Storage Box- Gold

Storage Box- Bone

The functionality would be similar, you activate the item in your aid category with the appropriate amount of the food/component in your inventory (I think each box could hold 25 of whatever your putting in, a relatively high amount but not too bogus) and the game would take away the empty box and the 25 of whatever's being stored, and you'd be given a full box of whatever it is, the full boxes having a similar but different names to avoid confusion. activating the full box would give you back all 25 of the stored content and the empty box. This would create an easy to use and compact way to store items, they would take up a lot less space on shelves and would be nice decorations to have in a settlement warehouse for instance, boxes of whatever covering shelves.

A recap/example on how I imagine it to function, for the inevitable few I confused with my 3 paragraph description. Lets say I want to store 25 cram inside a box:

1. Craft Storage Box- Cram at chemistry station for 1 plastic, 1 cloth

2. Have 25 cram and your empty cram storage box in your inventory- both would be found in aid

3. activate the empty storage box in the aid category like you would a food item or a chem, the mod takes away the empty box and your 25 cram and you'd be given "Box of Cram-25"

4. To retrieve your cram, you'd simply activate the full box in the same way, and be given back all 25 cans and your empty cram storage box

And simply rinse and repeat. My only thing for this is I'd realllly like it to be Xbox compatible if possible, seeing as that's what I play on

Hope I'm not asking for much with this, I know its not exactly the smallest suggestion (nor is it the biggest, but I know it wont just be knocked out in an hour or two) but I really think other people would enjoy this mod as much as I would.
