  1. @RedRocketTV Great mod, a little to late for me as i stopped playing in summer 2016. I loved the underground hideout in New Vegas and for sure i would have used your costal cottage bunker as main base in FO4 if released earlier :) I really missed the auto sorting feature back in 2016 and the ammo and meds shelves where you were able to easily restock and take it directly out of the shelve (and not from an container inventory) what you need for the next quest. This is what inspired me to make my own ammo storage mod. Not with sorter as my modding knowledge is limited, but i'm still happy with the outcome https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15289
  2. Gimp with .dds plugin is also free
  3. I think it should be possible to fix the existing overhead powerlines and create new towers, poles and cables with the creation kit like any other item or structures. So they could appear when a defined quest is finished. But as already mentioned, this would only be cosmetic without any function. The actual power source would be something like a fusebox which has to be build in ever settlement with the same logic like any generator. i think there are already fuseboxes as power source available. I have never done anything like that, but i would guess that it is not that complicated. But this would not change the gameplay in any way, even with a small "kill them all and press the button" quest. To make it more attractive, the quest needs to be more attractive. So what you need to find is an experienced modder willing to write an interesting and challenging quest. To increase the chance to find somebody, you should download the creation kit and start building the power lines across the map and release it as mod. Even without any modding experience, this could be achieved within a few days. Just watch some youtube tutorials how to use the creation kit.
  4. Holy sh... it works! Finaly you found a very easy solution for that problem :)
  5. Until somebody finds out how to build underwater, you could use this underwater base https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13152
  6. That is more or less how shipments work. Maybe there is a mod available on xbox which enables you to craft shipments. I made something similar to handle components and good. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15289 But currently not available on xbox. Next time i will reinstall FO4, i will upload a xbox version.
  7. Here is my thums up! I really like your creations, especially the bomber. But i also doubt, that somebody will use them. Assets like that are needed for a story driven (mini) DLC, but there is still so many other things to do and add, not only scripting. Maybe assets like that are 10-20% of the overall work. Also your creations are really big, maybe a little bit to big for the crowed commonwealth. I did build an airport on spectacle island with a runway covering the whole island. https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/15939-0-1467559208.jpg But this is just enough for a stingray bomber. There is no more room to place a bomber of that size i guess. I had in mind to build a submarine base for 2-3 Yangtze boats, but also gave up as the model of the Yangtze is just to big. Those big assets show the limitations and inconsistency of the scaling of the world of Fallout 4.
  8. That's good news. Could be very usefull for my concrete mod.
  9. This could be an additional service offered by CC or other 3rd parties. 60% won't ever use it, 30% don't care and 10% would pay a fortune to implement their object of desire
  10. I used the precise object moving mod to lower the single fence parts into the ground. Worked quite well. But i have seen flat land plots for plants. maybe you could use those.
  11. Wow, better never play a vanilla Fallout VR then? Would be the worst nightmare ever.
  12. I totally agree, the economy system is inexistant. But i doubt, that it is really possible to make it better. Of course it is easy to change some prices, but this will always have major impacts on other things. Rising the value for mircoskops for example. If we apply the price to what we expect to be, what will happen if the player finds 10 of them in the first two hours? He would be able to buy anthing from Carla in the Drumlin Diner. Also the whole scrapping/raw materials system is not plausible. I made some calculations for my warehouse mod (how much steel will a full pallet of steel beams cost?) to make it somehow immersive. But i stopped early, as it is really impossible to get it all aligned: prices, weight, volume, availability, recipes.
  13. I like the idea! I made something comparable for some kind of "other" products (which are not following the high standards of brewing) : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15776? It is actually very easy to add new recipes to the contraption machines, so switching a vanilla machine to different kind of beers is done in a few minutes. A skilled modder could add same building elements of the gwinnett brewery (maybe some pipes or tanks) to the workshop menu. Also creating crates with bottles is not complicated using nifskope. I made one for soylent cola https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/15776-0-1472477472.jpg https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/15776-0-1472477680.jpg You could use the devices of manufacturing extended to get empty clean bottles out of the workbench which will be transported into the contraption machine and on the other side the full beer bottles will come out. It maybe would be even possbile to add some more steps: empty bottles>full bottles>crate of full bottles If i haven't stopped modding a year ago, this is something i would look into But this would just cover the production process, not the storyline and the "market entry" into the commonwealth.
  14. i love this community! Paying so much respect to the details and fixing so many design problems. Thank you!
  15. But if you kill him, please at least give him a peaceful burial This might help: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18378
  16. i do agree, but you could add some turrets and defence walls yourself. just place a workbench via console or found a settlement with conquest. This is how i placed small defense outposts between all my active settlements in the northern part of the commonwealth.
  17. Who doesn`t ;) https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4070665-ammo-storage-and-sorting/
  18. Most of the weapons are already available, Glock, M4A1, Desert Eagle Also you can find some armor parts at the nexus. I like the eastereggs in Fallout, but as you have to install such a mod on your own, it is not really a surprise when you find it.
  19. @3tree You should start playing, it is still worth even without this specific mod. Don't wait until the game&graphics gets to vintage :) In the meantime i made a mod which covers some of the functionality (but not the auto sorting and storing) https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15289/?
  20. Is it really lore friendly to assume that someone would carry 100 steel "items" to every corner of the commonwealth just for 15 caps? Answer: Don't ask those questions, otherwise the whole lore background of Fallout will collapse
  21. Have a look at my mod http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15289/? You can build the pallets out of your components stored in the workbench. Then you are able to scrap the pallets again. If i remember right (it is over a year i worked on that), you will get a shipment back instead of the single items.
  22. Great idea! How about releasing some models and textures for that medium sized DLC to convince others to get on board?
  23. There is most probably a good reason why this mod is PS4 exclusive. The Mod Author decided to release it just for ps4. Of course this mod was developed and tested on PC, but for some reason only uploaded for PS4.
  24. When you continue playing after finishing the main story, the best way to "terraform" the landscape is to use the creation kit. (I would not do that while playing for the first time, as it might interfere with the immersion when breaking the 4th wall) The creation kit editor is not really complicated to use, especially when you are just deleting objects. I used it to clean up all my settlements and the connecting roads. You even are able to get rid of radiation, this was very useful at Quincy Quarry for example : http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17733/? or Saugus http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15573/? This video explains how to start the Editor
  25. patience young padawan :) A good start into modding is a simple texture mod
