Saving crashes the game...or at least it was before the game started crashing right before the menu screen

So like the title of this topic, I now have 2 problems. It started with with the game crashing every time i save just recently, was doin' fine for days til' this s#*! started happening, so to try to fix it I went to tools in the Nexus Mod Manager, Saw "Purge Unmanaged Files" hoping that'd fix something, but it made the situation worse.

well , the load order doesn't really help , since we can't tell what all the plugins are (the names are cut , we need to see the complete names)

but looking at this , you have quite a few plugins from some mods , and I would hazard a guess that you would need to remove some of them (probably conflicting plugins , but without the names we can't say for sure)

not sure about the "purge unmanaged files" , but my guess is it removed something like the script extender , or something of that sort

removing files from existing saves is really not recommended , especially if you don't know what you are doing

and using options in your mod manager without full knowledge of what these options do is just a recipe for disaster

so unless you can tell exactly which files were removed , and restore them , you may just lose your save files (especially if your plugins do conflict , and you will have to remove some)

If you want to try and help yourself , I would recommend you start with a fresh installation of the game (delete both the game's folder and the folder that holds the ini files and save files , then reinstall)

after this , reinstall the mods you want to use , while reading the installation instructions very carefully , making sure to use all required files , and only these (to prevent using conflicting plugins)

start a new game , see if it all works , and play the game again

You load list is out of order. It looks like you might have used LOOT.

There are no compatibility patches shown.

FWE-Optional Restore Tracers, do not use both. Read the title of the plugins and decide which one you want to use.

If you have the game installed in "Program Files", it will have to be moved. You cannot use FOSE, LAA 4GB, FSR or NVAC with the game being under the Window's UAC.

NMM is not the best mod manager to use for FO3 since it does not install FOMods correctly. You would be better served to use FOMM.

When I tried using any of the patches before, they kept crashing the game before the menu screen. Once I turned them off the game would work just fine. Also, what order should I be putting my plugins in? by the way, FWE is actually downloaded to the Fallout Mod Manager.

when you had the patches , did you make sure to load them after the mods they are patching?

if not , that would cause crashes......

as for load order , you have MMM loaded after one of it's DLC patches (this is just one thing I see)

I don't recall about the suggested load order of these mods . do yourself a favor , visit the mod pages and see the recommended load order suggested on each mod's page

So I managed to get the game to launch. Now a totally new problem.... if I load a save, all of a sudden, all my weapons and armor are gone.

Edit: also, most I know of correct load order is at least to put all the DLC patches in the same order as the DLC. I just know that the patches would just crash the game before the menu screen for whatever reason.

Also Edit: another thing, some of the plugins claim that some esp or esm files are missing. I don't know how they could be, I'd imagine such things are supposed to have installed when I downloaded the mods them selves and turned them on.

EVE.esp no longer exists as it is merged into the main file, IIRC.

CALIBR is there at 07. If it says it's missing, your setup is really screwed up.

ExcaliburUniverse aka Book of Earache needs to be downloaded from elsewhere. It's not on nexus any more.

Also you're not using the Merged version of MMM.

FWIW, NMM has the "export" function which displays the load order in a far more user friendly manner than screenshots. It's on the left side menu.
