Is this a mesh issue or a texture issue?

For me this looks like armor not correctly attached to the skeleton using 3DsMax or Blender with NIF plugin...this might happen when you merge parts and don't reassign them to bones - like messing around in NifSkope, copy/pasting whatever. But as i always mention - i'm no pro when it comes to armor, just my humble thoughts :D Edited by ghosu

This happens to me quite often when i mistakenly use 2 different body meshes for the **_0 and **_1 .nif files .. It's very difficult to mix 'n' match with armors as both files need to be identical internally (except for the positions of the triangles/vertices for the size adjustment obviously) Also I've had this issue with certain armors that originally had only a neck or wrists/ankles for the body (skin) mesh and I've replaced it with a full body, there is sometimes missing bone references in the Dismember info I think.

All you can try is to start again with both the **_0 and **_1 meshes and make exactly the same changes to both and see what happens.

It may be worth your time to try parenting a new skeleton to your mesh(es).

Open your model in whatever program it is you're using.

Delete the scene root and all bones.

Save your work and exit your modelling program (this step is important).

Reopen your program and bring up your skeletonless mesh.

Import skeleton.nif (located at \meshes\characters\actor\character assets\ in the meshes.bsa) and choose to parent it to your model.

Save and export it.

Open it in NifSkope and run the "Delete Bogus Nodes" autospell then save it one last time.

Test it in-game.
