Disappearing avatar/disappearing gloss weirdness

Hi, all. I've started experiencing a very odd graphical problem that's pretty much wrecked my Skyrim play, and I'm turning to the experts because I've seen nothing via google search that seems to precisely describe my problem.

 

The actual glitch is this: after I've been playing for a while, usually into the mid/high 20's, I'll encounter a situation where, first, my character avatar will lose all specular "shine" (I have her UNP body set with higher gloss using Nifskope, and she loses that, along with any shine her armor has). I use the Facelight mod and the light will also flicker on and off when I spin the camera angle.

 

That would be a minor inconvenience, if the second problem didn't start shortly after--the character model will simply disappear in third person mode (I haven't checked systematically to see if her hands and weapons disappear in first person mode, but they may; I'll look into that and edit this post accordingly). It's not permanent; after I move around for a bit she will eventually reappear, but it's very annoying and very dangerous if I'm close to any enemies at all.

 

This has happened to me in two separate partial playthroughs, and oddly enough I started noticing the problem in both games shortly after I cleared and left Pinewatch. In both games, the character was in her mid/high 20's. Note that in earlier games, I've cleared Pinewatch and come out with no problems.

 

I've played a lot of hours in Skyim and this is the first time I've ever seen anything like this.

 

I'm using ENBoost for greater graphics memory stability but no ENB, and most of the mods are from Nexus along with a few "naughty" mods from Loverslab, although I installed those through Nexus. Here's my plugin list:

You do have a lot of mods that I don't recognize. However, I do wonder why you've installed the Racemenu sliders for CBBE when you're using a UNP body. I don't know that that's a specific conflict, but I do wonder. I also wonder about your specular edits, but what I know about modeling would fit in half a thimble. I have a vague memory of hearing someone describe your issue, with the hands/arms disappearing in first person, but I can't pull any more information out of my poor brain.

 

You might try a very simple fix and reinstall UNP. You can also take the basic step of verifying your game cache through Steam, just to be sure the base game files are good. That process won't touch your mods, so don't worry about it. Beyond that, you'll probably need an answer from someone more knowledgeable than I about the nuts and bolts of Skyrim. Good luck! :)
