Of course this happens to me...

I got shot, to put it bluntly. If you want to know how, read on. At least I'm ALIVE.

 

So, yesterday morning I was called out to help a patrol out of an ambush, they were low on ammo and had several wounded, so my and my squad get out there and the first half hour, it was smooth. Taliban kept coming though, they were determined to do something. Eventually, we were told to run across the cross-fire to another wall, it'd give us more cover and an advantage, so I ran through and next thing I knew, I was on the ground feeling like someone just blew my right side up. A bullet got my right hip, tearing right through. I was awake for several seconds before passing out, and I only remember things in a blur after that. Faces, people shouted "get a doctor here!" and helicopter noises, and a huge pain in my right hip, as if someone grabbed the hip and pulled it out of my body, ripped it into tiny pieces, and put it back inside me, and just left me there to rot.

 

I woke up this morning to the stinging pain, a bunch of needles inside me, and a "beep, beep, beep," noise. I had painkillers inside me, I knew that for a FACT, because the pain I remembered was much worse than the pain I felt upon waking up. The doctor walked in and said something I swear I'd never hear in my life; "you should be dead."

 

The bullet apparently tore through my side, went right through the bone, and punctured my rib cage. If it went a few inches farther, it would've hit my heart and killed me.

 

I can't move, so I'll be here for around another month or so, either way the time here would be extended by 2 months, just getting shot decreased it and I can't do anything in that time.

Probably its under a proxy, also a good idea to considering how bad the internet is there.

Ugh, getting shot in the chest is not good, I'm missing two ribs because of that. You're lucky they use 47s, 7.62 rounds just pass through you in a relatively straight line. A newer 5.45 would've definately killed you.

 

Anyway, get better soon. And try not to get shot anymore, it's bad for your health.

I've heard about them, a bullet capable of hitting a laser-marked target, aka "the smart bullet". Supposedly it will make the job easier for us snipers but I'll just stick with good old fashioned rounds. I don't trust electronics doing my job and I can hit a target at over 2000m without the need for a smart bullet.

Considering the fact that a base has to stop the chances of being tracked through IP and internet, probably hiding everything. I'm not really an expert on how they do this stuff. :geek:

 

Hope the Taliban aren't getting to smart on us. And hopefully this isn't a sign of bad luck. Ugh, I regret getting into this.
