Vending machine merchants.

Something I have wanted to see for awhile now is a sort of passive buildable merchant ala vending machine. In other words, build a general goods vending machine in a settlement and it acts as a vendor for general merchandise with all the perks that you usually get for having that store type but without having to have an NPC assigned to it. The machines should work just like regular merchants, opening the vendor window and allowing you to buy and sell with caps and invest money if you have the correct perk.

Personally, I think this would be a big hit, especially with people that want a home base but without whiny settlers constantly bickering about something.

Somebody's probably already made vending machine mods. Let's look.

Okay. I see two choices on the first page.

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10224/

Hopefully, one of those works for you.

I think he means a bit more of the other items. Not just Nuka cola and cigs :)

Yes. Please re read the Original Post. I am looking for vending machines that act exactly like the regular, settler assigned vendors for weapons, armor, clothing, doctor, general goods and Food&drink. I've used one of the mods that Agamendor listed and that's not what I'm talking about at all.

I know of a few, which are unlisted.

The robo-auto-doc is neat, with an animated 'doctor face' like on Baxter or those NewVegas Securitrons.

Rusty the Scrap Trader restored v1 also allows you to place generic scrap-merchant droids.

so, the protectron-scrap droid is bolted to and part of the bench etc. or like wheatley, its a brain-in-a-vat from a Robobrain as the vendor etc.

Rusty was originally supposed to be in the game but was cut,

"Rusty's Place" became that drug-dispencer Solomon's Place in Diamond City.

there's also 'ghost-vendors' with the enhanced Theta-Tan Realm mod,

perfect for that little place in Salem, where you can name them 'khaspir' etc.

and Hologram vendors with "Doc Wasteland's Savage Inventions" etc.

the same folks who made a familiar steampunk implement

'color by numbers raygun' (it shoots pink beams with the cliche 'z-zz zap' audio, resembles a popular raygun from a popular FPS series,

except color-by-numbers).

also made "holographic trap-mine 'vendors'

and proper 'lil-revivement' machines etc.

it has a sound-alike for the audio,

and comes in your choice of male voiceover or female. robo voiceover is also possible.

the crayola for the color-by-numbers is hilarious.

Its "I can't believe its not a revive machine"

the voices sound like Lee Ermey or Rosie O'Donnell or Gil Gottfried etc.

while it does look ridiculous,

it can be retextured by the individual,

and doesn't look too out of place in The Memory Den Virtual Holodeck, or "Sketchtopia/flatland" hehe.

-----

it is literally 6 decal appliques welded,

with a sound node,

and is "just" a hidden container which also opens the trader dialogue.

keying the animation layer-changes to the speech was tricky though.

good luck hunting for them though;

I think 'user complaints' led to the bulk of those becoming unlisted.
