Navmeshing (extending cell border bridges)

I am still new to the creation kit. I have built several new buildings in Hangman's Alley and I am currently navmeshing the last building. The cell border bridge (green bars) does not extend all the way through the building, therefore I can not properly navmesh the interior. Is there a way to add on to the cell border bridges so I can extend them all the way into my building? I reference several navmeshing videos and only one talks about these cell bridges but he did not say if and how one can add on to them 9increase the lengths),.Thank you.

I'm not sure I understand without a screenshot for illustration. But I'll add this in case it's relevant and makes sense. Whenever navmeshing around cell borders you would want to ensure that you match up vertices locations on both sides so it will make the connecting bridge. The bars on either side of the cell border signify that the engine will know how to transfer pathing from one triangle to the other across the border. So they have to have vertices really close to each other to match up and create the bridge. Also make sure you're using the finalize navmesh button for it to recalculate and create the bridges.

This is fairly simple,

  1. Press the "B" key to show the cell borders (they will show as yellow lines)
  2. Make sure your in the cell with no navemesh
  3. place verts and create a new navemesh for the cell making sure to place verts near the ones on the boarder of the other cells navemesh
  4. Once you've finished navemeshing your interior align the new navemesh verts to the border verts of the navemesh you want to join to.
  5. finale the new navemsh and the existing navemeah,
  6. once finalized you should get the green boarder showing that the new navemesh is linked to the existing one.

I hope that helps and is clear. but the simple explanation is you need to create a new navemesh for the cell without one and line it up with the existing one.

That worked very well....thank you!!! Basically I navmeshed both sides of the border (creating similar triangles of both sides), then I slid the verts on top of each other (thus lining everything up) and then I click on the verify button and after a few seconds I get the green bars. Now I can finish my last building restoration in Hangman's Ally ;)

Thank you Mr. Steel
