Is it possbile to tranfser character-looks?

Hi!

 

Not sure if this is the right forum for this - but I recently managed to corrupt my saves thanks to some follower-mods. Now Lydia never wants to leave my side, no matter what I try! :dry:

 

Can I somehow transfer the appearance of this old corrupted character to a new one? Or do I have to re-make it from scratch? :facepalm:

Can't help you here...I have no idea. But could you tell me what follower MODS you used? Perhaps I could step over that trip wire myself.

I think I can help you here.

 

Try following this guide. You're going to need the Creation Kit (if you don't have it yet). When you get to the NPC editing part of the guide (part B), just use an existing preset for your character's race instead. After that, you can just start your new game and select the altered preset on the character creation screen.

I wanted to do the same thing the other day.

I simply made a few screenshots of SHOWRACEMENU so I'd know where the sliders were and made my new char based on that.

 

Not as accurate as the solution of the previous poster, but if you don't want to go all technical and aren't fussed with exact details, it does the trick.

I somehow managed to fix the companion issue by removing some older follower-mods! Meaning the save isn't corrupted any more! Yay! :laugh:

Yes I was thinking of this myself - but it's pretty impossible to get a exact copy of your previous character if you edited it a lot with the sliders ^^'
