BlackTestament7
So I've done a pretty heavy modding job on New Vegas since I started but I've found an issue that's way out of my field of expertise. So the game has been stable since I reinstalled everything and nothing too out of the ordinary has really happened. A few missing NPCs here and there but that's just a simple reload the area or game and it's gone. This was until I got to Forlorn Hope. I walked into the mess hall and it seems like the cell has loaded me and all the NPCs into the same spot. And kept us there. It's like I'm not even loading in as well. I can see a phantom texture of my outfit when I use the free camera and look at the pile. I don't know why this is happening at all. Nowhere else so far has done this and I don't know what is making it happen. Has anyone seen anything like this or know how to fix it? https://imgur.com/8Djrhhwhttps://imgur.com/0idrwz9 My load order:FalloutNV.esm=1DeadMoney.esm=1HonestHearts.esm=1OldWorldBlues.esm=1LonesomeRoad.esm=1GunRunnersArsenal.esm=1MercenaryPack.esm=1ClassicPack.esm=1CaravanPack.esm=1TribalPack.esm=1YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm=1oHUD.esm=1NevadaSkies.esm=1ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esm=1ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm=1NVWillow.esp=1FOOK - New Vegas.esm=1FOOK - New Vegas DLCs.esm=1AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm=1Project Nevada - Core.esm=1Project Nevada - Equipment.esm=1Project Nevada - Extra Options.esm=1Weapon Mod Expansion.esm=1WME - GRA.esm=1WME - DLCs.esm=1Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp=1Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp=1AWOPDeadMoney.esm=1Momod.esm=1FINAL Seachlight Airport NCR.esm=1NVInteriors_Core.esm=1NVInteriors_ComboEdition.esm=1NVInteriors_ComboEdition_AWOP.esm=1NVInteriors_ComboEdition_AWOP_SLAP_NCR.esm=1SomeguySeries.esm=1jokristinascloset.esm=1Lone Gunman's Tools of Trade.esm=1AngelPark.esm=1YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp=1Mission Mojave - Ultimate Edition.esp=1DYNAVISION 3.esp=1DarNifiedUINV.esp=1The Mod Configuration Menu.esp=1The Weapon Mod Menu.esp=1dD - Enhanced Blood Main NV.esp=1Vurt's WFO.esp=1Readius_NV.esp=1MojaveDelight.esp=1MojaveDelighted.esp=1bzArmour.esp=1T6M Lingerie NV.esp=1NevadaSkies - Basic Edition.esp=0NevadaSkies - TTW Edition.esp=0NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp=1NevadaSkies - Blueberry Nights.esp=1FOOK - New Vegas.esp=1FOOK - New Vegas DLCs.esp=1Project Nevada - Cyberware Additions.esp=1Project Nevada - Rebalance Complete.esp=1Project Nevada - All DLC.esp=1FOOK-PN Convergence.esp=1MMUE-CP-Convergence.esp=1AWOPDeadMoneyVendorPatch.esp=1AWOP-MoMod.esp=1MMUE-CP-Electrocity.esp=1MMUE-CP-AWOP+NVInteriors.esp=1hunter.esp=1AngelParkRemix.esp=1APRemix M-60 Patch.esp=1ShadesXIarmor.esp=1jokcprimmhouse.esp=1Holster Gear.esp=1KORs Pistol Harness.esp=0KORs Pistol Harness JG.esp=1HK416SOPMOD.esp=1DEagle.esp=1PhotonLaserWeapons.esp=1TacticalLaserRifle.esp=1Tactical Combat Gear - HK.esp=1ReconLaserWeapons.esp=1HeavyPlasmaRepeater.esp=1TeslaWeaponsPack.esp=1ADAM - MAIN.esp=1ADAM - HH.esp=1ADAM - LR.esp=1ADAM - Nemesis Armours.esp=1ADAM - Outcast Ranger Armour.esp=1ADAM - NCR Patrol Armour.esp=1ADAM - Trooper Gloves.esp=1ADAM - Rangers on Patrol.esp=1ADAM - Project Nevada Patch.esp=1NCRTrooperOverhaul.esp=1BlackMercArmor.esp=1WeaponModsExpanded.esp=1WMX-DLCMerged.esp=1Weapon Mod Expansion.esp=1Project Nevada - WME.esp=1EVE FNV - ALL DLC.esp=1FOOK-ADAM CP.esp=1FOOK-PN-TrooperOverhaul.esp=1FOOK-PN-WME-WMX-EVE Convergence.esp=1FOOK-PN-AWOP Weapon Convergence.esp=1WME - DLCs.esp=0WME - DLCs Arenovalis.esp=0WME - FOOK.esp=0WME - FOOK DLCs.esp=0WME - GRA - All Weapons.esp=0WME - GRA - Arenovalis.esp=0WME - GRA - Complete.esp=0WME - GRA - Just Guns.esp=0WME - GRA - Unique Integration.esp=0WME - GRA - Vendor Reform.esp=0WME - GRA - Weapon Integration.esp=0WMEVE - All DLCs.esp=0WMEVE - No DLCs.esp=0WMEVE - No GRA.esp=0Project Nevada - EVE All DLC.esp=0NVNovacApartament.esp=1TheSinkRemodel.esp=1NewVegasBounties.esp=1NewVegasBountiesII.esp=
kingbeast88
I really want to say that can happen with just a vanilla game. I also don't know of a fix. I think you can coc out the cell but it won't solve any issue inside. If you need to talk to anyone in the cell better to teleport them outside to you. BlackTestament7
That's what I did, 10 of Spades likes to hang out there when 1st Recon head to Forlorn Hope for some reason. I've been ignoring it for the most part but I figured I'd ask to see if anyone knew of a fix.
Merik2013
I've found the issue and devised a fix for it. It requires a bit of GECK knowledge, but nothing too serious. The problem file is "FINAL Searchlight Airport NCR.esm"To put it simply, this mod makes a few minor adjustments in this cell, which wouldn't be an issue except it moves one of the decals to -3000 under the cell. I can't pretend to understand why the game responds this way, but the result is that the decal inexplicably pulls everything not nailed down along with it. Its like a powerful electromagnet dragging everything along the ground. I simply reset that decal back to its default settings and everything went back to normal. I imagine you could also just delete it as well. The cell is CampForlornHope01 and the decal is NVNCRDecalCLeg. You'll want to right click the decal and click the edit option. Its the Z Position that needs to be changed. It should be changed to its default value, which is 671.1060. I also unticked all the miscellaneous changes made to it just to be sure it took, but that might not be necessary. As I recall, the changes the mod made were enabling the "Persistent Reference" and "Initially Disabled" options as well as the "Set Enable State to Opposite of Parent" option under the "Enable Parent" tab. dubiousintent
That is a very interesting finding. Nice detective work. Did you try simply leaving the decal underground but not at such an extreme Z depth? I ask because of the implications for other "junkado" problems. -Dubious-
BlackTestament7
Thanks for the info. I've never used the GECK so I'm lost as to how to edit anything in this mod. From what I attempted I found the Decal in the object window but when I clicked Edit, a "static" window appears and there's no values to change. At least none that I can see. I tried the Cell View menu and found the Mess Hall Cell and got it to appear and found something called an "XMarkerHeading" that was where everything was spawning. But other than that I'm not sure as to what to edit. Nothing I see in the edit menus I've found so far are any Values to change.
BlackTestament7
Nevermind, I found it in FNVEdit and edited that way. Thanks again for this fix.
