LE Scarbbard Remover Request

i'm tired of the skyrim scabbards, they are moving with the body, nor do they actually hang on to the body they just float about beside your hip and i was thinking '' could someone help me and remove this crap? ''

 

i can't be the only one who hates these scabbards?

 

i hope someone is willing to take up this request and i hope its not too much work :)

You can do that yourself, no big thing:

 

1) Download NifSkope (a version that works with Skyrim like 1.1.0-rc4) and FO3 Archive Utility (download links in my signature tutorial)

2) Start FO3 Archive Utility, open Skyrim - Meshes.bsa in your Skyrim folder.

3) In the tool open meshes\weapons...select and extract the whole folder to your HDD.

4) Move this weapons folder into your ...Skyrim\data\meshes\ folder. In this folder are all weapon NIF files, located in the subfolder (type/material...like DAEDRIC)

5) NifSkope, open the 1stpersonWEAPONNAME.nif of a weapon, in the preview window click on the scabbard and then click on the block that will be highlighted in the left window - or directly click on the NiTriShape | SCB entry and press CTRL+DEL to delete it, save and done...if it doesn't show ingame do the same with WEAPONNAME.nif - to undo the whole thing just delete the files from your weapons folder.
