Naturzauberer
Hey guys, having gotten time to get into the hang of things now, I have a (important) question for you. I can import the mesh (from the NIF) and the texture (from the dds) into 3dsmax all right. However, I am unable to get the texture mapping in 3dsmax exactly the same as in "vanilla" Skyrim. If I put the texture on, it is just tiled. The "vanilla" UVW-Map appears to be lost via the importing process. Do you have any idea how I could retain the UVW-Map so that it shows the textures in 3dsmax as if they were just taken from Skyrim Vanilla? Thanks! galy3
Wierd, You may have problem with 3dsmax installation or nif plugins, I don't see any option of this kind. By default you are supposed to have uv map imported.
Naturzauberer
Which version of niftools are you using? I have always had to delete stuff from the NIFs with Nifskope so that I could import them. Is there a newer version of an importing plugin out there? galy3
Realy?! You don't have to delete things, for sure you have an old or a buggy version. Here the last version; http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5622 This version Note; know bug when export, change uv num 1 to 4097 in nifskope.
