SmVV
As you know, there are no such marks on things in player's chest, so i have some problems to figure out what items are still stolen and what are not.
themarsh
Items in the player's chest that are stolen will stay 'Steal' instead of 'Take' when you go to remove them. That's what I've been looking at to determine if it's ready to wear or sell. SmVV
You can have 200 arrows in the chest, for example, but when you take them, 150 become "stolen" in your inventory.Same for other things, you can't understand how many items in stack are stolen when they in the chest. AlarictheVisgoth
What SmW said. The theft tag is very subtle and has a red hand icon next to it. Also if you read the descriptions of some of the higher level items, while in the inventory window, you may get a"Stolen from God knows where" disclaimer in the item description (when you press Q). Got that one from besting a random knight (in high value armor) from an encounter at a wayfarer FT stop. Works the same for items that you loot from murdered corpses. Hal was accessed by a NPC when he stopped to investigate a dead body at a wayfarer point in a FT. The NPC cheekily impeached him (after being caught squatting suspiciously over said corpse). Then immediately took off into the forest at warp 9. Set Hal on him like a pit bull in heat. Finally succeeded in looting his corpse some 30 frustrating game mins later. That's when I noticed the bloody stain beside every one of the NPC's clothes indicating they were looted from a murder. Don't know if this is the same for the original corpse he was trying to investigate though. Lost track of it hunting down the NPC.
