sopmac45
If somebody know the answers for the below, please advise. I appreciate your help in advance : 1 - My Plugins load order is not displaying my mods as I have told Vortex to do it via Managing Dependencies and my Master Files ( even though they have the correct load order showed by LOOT ) are not being displayed as they should as well. My master files are displayed : Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, Heartfire.esm, Dragonborn.esm and Dawnguard.esm ... which is not the right order ( Skyrim, Update, Dawnguard, Heartfire and Dragonborn it is ). When I run LOOT, the correct order is being displayed, so I know that even though Vortex is not showing the correct load order, they are but .... from visual standpoint and to avoid confusion, Vortex should display them as they should. Does anybody knows how to fix this because I have tried everything possible but I cannot fix it. Is it a bug ? 2 - Also, I moved one mod under another and not matter how I tried, It is not displaying this mod in the right place, not even by LOOT. I moved it manually ( drag/drop ), set it up via Manage Dependencies and this window is showing it should load after the mod that I told Vortex, but again, Vortex is not displaying the mod where I finally told it where to place it. Is it a bug ? 3 - When I run LOOT, this tool placed some mods in a different place that Vortex did. When I go back to Vortex and run Sort Now, those mods are being placed where I told Vortex where to place them. The thing is that it is confusing seeing LOOT arranging the load order as it thinks and seeing Vortex sorting the load order in a different way. I do not know at this point why they are doing something different, if this is normal or not. If Vortex is placing the plugins as we set them up in the Manage Dependencies window, what is the reason to run LOOT anyway ? I would like to know how both interact what to expect, which one to pay attention to and which one should be the one we should go with. 4 - Last but not the least, is there anyway that we can print ( export ) our Plugin load order as we could do it in NMM ? I do not see any print option in Vortex. I know that if I go to the File Manager ( under Mods tab ), File Explorer will show all my mods and I could copy/paste them and print them out but ... not in the order showed in the Plugins tab which is what we should be able to. Is it a bug ? If it is, then I will post it in the feedback section, otherwise, please help. @ tannin ... perhaps you can advise if you are not that busy. Thanks a lot in advance. Olivir2019
Ad 1): Do you have the Plugins list sorted by Load Order or Mod index or any other column? Once I thought I have issue like you described, but the problem was the way the list was sorted (on screen). Ad 2): When you set the "load after" rule, then both plugins get moved. Or are you saying that the plugin with "load after" rule is not bellow the other mod? Perhaps check 1) Ad 3): As both LOOT and Vortex are rule based, then unless a rule applies to the plugin, it should not matter where are the plugins situated relatively to other unruled ones. I am running LOOT from time to time, and not using Vortex sorting, just to avoid confusion.

I figured out .. it was that under Plugins Tab, I did not have my load order index on, so as soon as I added via Settings, it did show the correct sorting ... ... now that you are talking about running LOOT and not Vortex, I am doing the opposite. When I first installed my game ( Skyrim SE ), I ran LOOT a couple of three times ( after cleaning master files, etc, etc ... ) but one thing I noticed was that via Vortex, my last mod was Flower Girl ( setup via rule and as it is supposed to be since this mod must be loaded last by mod author ) but when I was running LOOT, this mod is not the last but 4 mods above the last one, which for LOOT was : My Home is Your Home ... ( ? ) ... so I got very confused ... ... checked the rule setup for Flower Girl in Vortex and it is there so at this point I do not know why LOOT is not placing Flower Girl where I told Vortex to do it ... what is the difference of sorting the mods using Vortex and LOOT ? Which one should we use ? Both or just one ? I thought they both communicated and displayed exactly the same ... when should we run LOOT or when not ? Those are some details that should be addressed by the developer's team so for those like me, that we do not understand some things, it would be very beneficial to have the details. If you know them, please help and I thank you in advance.
