anarchyisawayolife
The energy weapons are huge and bulky and they would seem cooler if they were slim and maybe a little rounded would anyone agree? Not a request as of yet just a discussion on if this would be lore friendly and if endorsable, or maybe keep the vanilla's and adding them in as alternatives, for instance, you take a vanilla laser rifle to a work bench, use some tools, bing bang boom, its slim and sexy! What say you lords and ladies?
jefe131
I always thought the energy weapons were a bit clunky too. I liked the laser RCW model because of it's smoother design. Maybe you could make a weight reduction mod for the workbench that would also change the blockiness but keep the overall design of the weapons. FeetFirst
I think that Energy weapons from earlier Fallouts were very pretty, but the way that everything is built in FO3 and FNV is scientifically sound, eg Laser rifle looks like a laser that you can carry, less like a weapon and more like an improvisation. I'm not sure how I feel about plasma weapons, they feel very close quarters but look very delicate with all the glass bulbs. YES, I think that energy weapons should be smoother (with the possible exception the gauss rifle), but it doesn't sit right with me to make them more like guns and less like the early-prototype weapons that they were. kschang77
The problem is this is supposed to look the 70's-ish sort of retro-futuro look. You don't really expect a Star Trek: Next Generation Phaser -type look, do you? More like a Buck Rogers "blaster" type look. Clunky is fine as long as they look right for the period.
