Lagruej
Hi all, sorry if this wrong place, but I wanted to discuss this. For some strange reason, when downloading certain SSE mods, the website will warn you that you need the DLCs installed to use the mod - but I don't understand this because SSE has all the DLCs incorporated. You aren't going to have a situation where you don't have them, unless for some strange reason you cut them out. It's only a minor annoyance of 1 extra click to confirm, I'm just curious as to why this exists in the first place?
IsharaMeradin
They added the ability for the author to indicate any required DLC as there were plenty of people downloading mods that could not run on their setups. By adding the requirements notification, it helped to reduce such situations. This system is available for every game site and it is up to the authors to set their pages up correctly. Since original Skyrim mod pages were given the ability to be directly transferred to the SSE site, it is plausible that the requirements for original Skyrim also carried over to SSE. I suggest that you ask the authors of SSE mods you encounter that do this to modify this behavior for their SSE pages.
