New Mod Idea

I have a new mod idea and i don't have the proper set up to do it myself. I think it would add immersion as well as new look for clothing and armors for faction specific. would fit well in the story line i believe. but like i said i dont have the set up to do it myself. soo if you modders out there have the ability and no how to do stuff from scratch could ya send me a line so i can hit you up with the info for the mod please do. ty

Might be a good idea to first specify what game it's for, and put it in the appropriate game's Mod Request section, otherwise you're not likely to get much interest. :)

You did not indicate the game for which you want to create or request this mod.

Also, this is a general discussion topic about PC gaming - game specific subjects should be posted in the mod request/mod talk section of the game in question (unless the game is not yet hosted on the Nexus, in which case it is acceptable to post your mod ideas here).

i was trying to get ahold of a mod creator, thats all one like lordofwar. i would discuss the game and mod idea with them once they contact me. i am aware of the policies just wanted to get best result on contact with possible mod or modders.

Thing is simply, most people do not read here. They are just interested in specific games and as such only browse those specific games' sub-forums regularly.

The likelihood of anybody capable of doing what you have in mind even seeing your post when it's in here is abysmally small.

 

That's why it's suggested to post inside the specific game's forums instead, or at least mention the game so staff can move it to where it has a chance to be seen.

There's after all 517 games currently supported you could all be talking about, plus those not yet supported as well. And most people will only contact you, when they know they can do the job or it's a game they're interested in and used to. When they don't even have the game, they'll just assume it's one of the 516 they don't know and skip your post. There is no such thing as a "mod creator" who is capable of modding all 517 games, and no one section where all of them regularly check for random requests.

 

And for future help, people need to become interested in your idea, before they will contact you. You need to advertise it some. Most times I've seen mod requests/idea proposals like "I have a cool idea for a new mod, contact me and we'll talk it through", no actual contact has been made. It's after all not like authors are just sitting here waiting for requests/ideas to come in. They have their own interests/ideas/projects mostly and need to be convinced/persuaded to invest their time/work into your's instead. The more you can tell to "wet their appetite", the more interested they'll become.

 

(Nothing to do with policies, just increasing the chances of your idea to be taken up.)

Then please tell us what game you're talking about, because without mention a game then this mod idea just stay as a mod idea since noboby here would know what game your mod idea is for. :smile:
