Interesting, GW2 was already available for pre-order in the US months ago. (I preordered it around the same time pre-ordered Skyrim.)

I've been waiting for it for a very long time! Pre-purchase is the least I can do.

 

Also, it's not a pre-order, it's a pre-purchase. You get the serial key right away when you buy the game and you can upgrade your existing NCsoft account with it. You DON'T get a DVD though. Only the serial code, even if you pre-purchase it retail.

So yes, I basically now have a valid GW2 account and I'm waiting for the client so I can download the game. ( A Beta event is on the 20. and everyone who pre-purchased is in.) :happy:

Yes, you get a mail with the serial code that you can activate right away.

You just have to wait for another mail which will be sent around the 20. and will give you the client for the game.

 

The Beta access is only on special days though! This month it's the weekend starting with the 20.

Next month there will be another event as well and so on until the release date. If you pre-purchase now, you can also play the game 3 days before the release date.
