jonas66 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Hey, I'm just curious if I will need to download blender or nifskope patches (or, for that matter, entirely new programs) when I actually get around to buying Skyrim in the next month or so. It seems like the mod community has more or less established itself as I've been busy in New Vegas, so I figure that now is the time to prepare so I can get going as soon as I get the new game. Any tips appreciated. (including a tip for a different nexus forum to post this query in if necessary)
erad25 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I'm a noob modder trying to get started in Skyrim... From what I heard, if you're modding Fallout, you've probably got what you need. This remains effective. Blender just requires Python and the NIF Scripts plugin. Aside from that, should be good to go.
PopReference Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Unfortunatly, Blender isn't 100% compatable with Skyrim just yet due to the NifTools playing catch up with the 2.5 updates: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3520
huntsman2310 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Modding will really kick off when Nifscripts works on the latest Blender version.
