sunheart Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 I need some troubleshooting tips to find out which mod is breaking a vanilla Fighters Guild quest (The Desolate Mine), please.The 3 NPCs that should show up in the cell don't show at all.I think it's their script being broken - but how can I track down which mod is modifying a script?Or maybe the NPCs have changed via a mod - but without them loading in the cell how can I determine which mod modified them? I have unloaded the likely culprit mods and retried the quest, but no fix. And with about 200 mods unloading even small batches at a time would take hours.
Surilindur Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 You can use TES4Edit and/or the Construction Set to check any related records like scripts and get a list of files that edit them pretty easy, however finding the actual records at first might take some time in TES4Edit, but not necessarily. I do not know where you should start looking, unfortunately, but TES4Edit would be one option to scan all edits to some records pretty quick. If that helps? :ermm:
