I've actually been having this problem as well, not specifically this mod, but a few others. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Nexus servers, or it could have something to do with the mod manager it's self but I have no idea. Whenever something did this I just downloaded it manually and got it that way.

Thanks for your reply how hard is it to download manually are there any problems that way

It's not hard at all, all you have to do is open the archive file and copy and paste the files inside. Actually come to think of it, the NMM might even be able to add it after it's downloaded but I've never tried. And so far I haven't hit any issues, granted I've only had this problem with a few armor mods but as long as everything goes into the correct folder you shouldn't have too many problems.

Yes, there is a option in NMM that allows you to open and install amnually downloaded mods.
