LOOT Problem

I am posting this here as I could not find a forum that pertains to mod tool problems; closest I could find was a Wrye Bash post.

I downloaded the latest LOOT a couple of days ago and get an error message when I try to sort my mods. "ERROR Oh no, something went wrong! You can check your LOOTDebugLog.txt for more information.

I then installed the previous version which was working fine and got the same message. I ran both vc_redist.x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe I also went to download TLS51.1 and TLS51.2 as recommended on the LOOT page but already had those updates. This did not help.

This is the debug log. I hope someone can help as sorting a hundred some mods by hand can be irksome, besides the fact that I am not sure I am knowledgeable enough to do it correctly.

Just saw a similar thread on SSE tech support forum. Evidently I am not the only one that has this problem which started with the last update to LOOT. There were some fixes which other people have found to bypass this problem but none to fix it.

Just wonder if the LOOT developers are aware of this problem and hopefully working on a fix.

I'm having this problem also....I can't even download the masterlist to sort. For this reason I usually solely rely on myself to sort out my load order and batch stuff. These programs are great when they work but so far LOOT has been a disappointment.

What OS do you have?

Never mind, you are a godsend. Just went to the site you said, downloaded the easy fix, ran it and it worked.

The reason I asked about the OS is that I have been reading the posts about this on github and it seems there is a suspicion that it is a Windows 7 problem. I have Windows 7 64 HP SP1 and from what I read the fix was for that OS although not necessarily for Home Premium..

Anyway, thanks again for your advice, it is much appreciated.
