Papajack55
My desktop has been having problems as of late. Every time Steam begins to synchronize my files while I'm in the middle of a game, it CTD. The reason I know this is, I have found that when I hover my cursor over the Steam icon in the tray, it'll read "Steam-synchronizing." I may just have to start playing offline. Is there any other way to get around these CTDs from Steam's little helper? I've already checked my mods and no conflicts.

Right-click on Skyrim in Steam - Properties - Updates - turn off "Steam Cloud Synchronization". I also used to have issues like weird "lag" when it synced mid-game and it took longer to turn Steam off too due to this. Ever since I turned that off, I haven't had any issues at all any more! BigBodZod
Weird, I thought Steam didn't attempt to sync while you were in-game, it waited until after you exited the game first.

No, it's been shutting me down for some reason while in game and I have hovered my cursor over steam and it was saying or stated "Steam-synchronizing." Without the quotes, of course. Shutting it down sure helped the case though.

But if the workaround is turning it off then great :)

One mod stated it may depend on what body I have, so I deactivated it so no more CTDs. Still, the CTds are again once more happening. I guess I'll just have to go through each and every mod one by one to see which one is affecting my game playing or causing the CTD.
