FittyStim
First of all, let me say that my soundcard is indeed set to 44100Mhz... Ok, here's the deal: I've played Skyrim since 11/11/11 and, if I remember correctly I'm at about 410 hours. I play around endlessly with the .ini files causing lots of problems so I "delete local content" and uninstall Steam quite often. I use NMM and the SKSE launcher. Last week I got a strange pop-up message about subscribing to mods when I started the game (fwiw, I haven't even looked at the mods available on Steam). That happened only once. But everytime after that I got an error message about failing to enumerate subscribed files. No problem since I could just click ok and the game would start. But I got tired of doing that so I did my usual uninstallation and re-installation. Oops... Now Skryim doesn't start via the SkyrimLauncher GUI (it still loads if I use the skse_launcher). I get the UAC question and then the gui just re-launches. I'm assuming that this is a problem with Steam, no? Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Solutions? I turned off all synchs and auto-updates. All help is appreciated.
MadWizard25
Odd. Sounds like something with steam might have messed up as well, have you tried reinstalling steam? And if your getting UAC prompts, then i imagine you installed steam/ skyrim to your C: drive under program files? This installation path is known to cause issues skyrim, steam, and UAC clashing, your better off installing the game into C:/Games/ or something like that. It has to be a folder you create.
