xenest
I recently found out about the Nexus and was pleasantly surprised when there was a witcher nexus. I haven't played the witcher in a while and thought I would get back into it especially with the very attractive game enhancing mods out with the Nexus. But now with the EE coming up very soon, I thought I would wait for that before I get too involved with anything right now. How will these mods affect the Enhanced Edition? Would it be better to play just Vanilla EE or still install the mods, (maybe save the better combat mod because apparently EE fixes up combat quite a bit) Thoughts? DForev
I tried installing the FXAA injector True Fantasy graphics mod. Like you though I haven't played the game before so I can't really tell if there is any difference, but it kinda looks like how it should in the mod image given. It looks great either way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs6I4oTF4y0

dragonbird
There were quite a few changes to the data files, so it's best to wait until mods are updated to EE before using them. Temporary mods designed to fix things, like that one to put Melitele's Heart into inventory, can usually be used safely, but are best uninstalled immediately after you've done the fix. If you're using texture mods, check and see if the mod JUST changes a texture, or if it also swaps out the mesh. If it just changes the texture, it's probably safe, but if the mesh is swapped, it's best to wait and see what the modder says. You can usually tell from the files if the description doesn't say - if it's just xbm files, it's texture-only. If it's also xml files, the mesh is probably being swapped. You should definitely hold off using any mod that affects stats until the modder has confirmed, as there are quite a few changes here. You can't tell if a mod is safe just by installing it, as the problem may not show up until the new items come into the game (usually in Chapter 3, but there are random drops earlier).
