LE Editing meshes

Okay. I've never done mesh editing before. I've done re textures and already have made a few other mods. All I want to do is combine the "Nord War Horn" onto the thigh of the "Stormcloak Cuirass" (and scale it smaller obviously) to make a Viking style drinking horn on the armour. I have no idea how to do this. Does anyone have a link to a tutorial for EDITING meshes or combining two objects into one mesh? I have NifSkope and Blender downloaded already. I tried doing it in NifSkope but failed.

 

Edit: I found an image here with the horn on the right side of the waist, which is what I want to do. (I know it's a bit silly, but you get the idea) Image

Would anyone know how to go about doing that?

You can put the horn next to the armor model u dont need to attach the horn actually(but if u want u can use the attach command), here a quick pic about what im talking about.
