Bethesda Logo Crash, I have tried everything

Hey guys, my problem is that when I open the game with a mod activated, the game closes after the Bethesda Logo

I need a fully detailed explanation to why this is happening, I'm not sure if I did the sound fix right but I need as many different fixes for this problem

Its kinda frustrating that Bethesda made a mod to disable mods, its the only reason why I play my pc version of the game

dearest nooblet,

Bethesda does *not* make mods, they make DLC & patches. Nor would it ever make "mods" to disable mods. As for your demand for a fully detailed explanation, there is none. Your problem is your own, which you didn't go into great detail, so I doubt many people will have an accurate recommendation.

It would help if we knew where you got your game from.

lmao, I was really frustrated when I wrote this, I'm actually studying Environment Design (Level design for games) at UTS: Sydney

So now that I cleared that, I hope someone can actually help me and stop trolling me

I Downloaded the Nexus Mod Manager recently and started downloading mods for the game...at first I was confused that the mods weren't working but then I made the change in the skyrimprefs.ini under the Launcher area like this:

[Launcher]

bEnableFileSelection=1

bShowAllResolutions=1

uLastAspectRatio=3

bLoadLooseFiles=1

and when I did this, the game opens to the Bethesda Logo, but when it gets to the main menu, it just closes back to the desktop...I tried the audio thing with the speakers...I dont know what to do??

which mods have you installed?

if you are using SKSE(skyrim script extender) and\or Dragon Script assure yourself to have the proper versions of both. If don't using them, check your mods doesn't need them.

some mods need update.esm to be turned on, check it

Read always the descriptions: some mods have to be installed without Nexus Mod Manager, others have particulary installation rules(and uninstallation too!!).. etc. a lot of people going crazy for stuff they'll could avoiding.

Sometimes mods conflict each other, because making similar things or affect the same cell etc. , so pay attention on what you are putting in your game.

don't put too many mods in a single time.

pay attention to your mod's load order, there are stuff to help you in that, in my opinion BOSS is the best.

take always a look on the mod's comment section you are downloading, often someone solved your probelm yet, or talk about eventually bugs or conflict etc.

some times uninstalling and reinstalling all fix problems (ultimate expedient)

Always have a secure save game! or you risk to have to restart all the game if some mods corrupt your game. Don't trust just to quicksaves or autosaves... i know something about that... :(

This are general rules to avoid the most of the problems

If you'll have some problem, remember that in the 99% it's "your" mistake, so don't upset and never be rude... and so it's valid for responding users too, even if a problem seem stupid or bad explained.

Mods are made from users and often they are not specialists... so everything you put is on your risk: check comments before installing anything!!

What Jodi wrote is true.

If Vanilla Skyrim worked, but mods you installed made it crash, then it's the mods that are the problem. Try disabling them, and single out the one causing the issues. It is likely due to one mod conflicting with another.
