Vortex mods updating and SSEMerged Patch question ...

Guys, need your help please,

Mods have been updating lately at a very high rate since Vortex is out, so definitely I need to update a lot of them. What is the right process ?

> Download the new mod version ...

> Install it ...

> Delete the previous mod version ...

> Deploy the new mod version ..... Am I missing something here please ?

Other question is, I have a SSEMerged patch in my game, so once I update all my mods, should I delete that patch ( create a new one ) or will automatically update my new mod versions after running Vortex sorting or LOOT ?

And if I have to delete my current patch, should I go back to my save when I did not have it in my game to create a new one ? Hope not !! Adding a merged patch is easy, how to manage the patch when updating mods and adding new or deleting from load order is something I am not that clear about ... :ohmy:â ... please help ... ... being investigating but could not find the answer ...

Also, if I add a new mod to my patched game, how do I include the new mod into my current patch ?

P.S. > After I created my patch, I checked conflicts and I manually moved some records to my patch. Everything is working as I expected it.

Thanks a lot for your help !! :geek:

I thought there was a special forum for Vortex questions and problems.

Regardless, whenever you uninstall or install a new mod, or when you update a mod you must delete your SSEMerged patch and create a new one and rebuild your Wrye Bash patch. That is the generally accepted advice. To be honest I do not always follow it depending on circumstances.
