Deleted472477User
Maybe not, since it might be too old school difficult for most people. But I'm wondering if anyone's played it. The reviews are mostly positive, and I might be picking it up for myself once I have the money. I played dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder, and Legend of Grimrock is pretty similar, with modern graphics. If you're looking for a game with no hand-holding, that is actually challenging, though, give it a shot.
Iv000
Yup! I've bought it the second I saw it.I don't really know why I like it so much. I never played old school dungeon crawlers, and I don't really like old school RPG's either. I just can't get into them, I don't know why. ( I really want to play Fallout 1 and 2, but I just get bored with the tactical combat system. Eh, I'm not the strategy type, sadly.) Anyways, I love Legend of Grimrock. The graphics are really great and the gameplay is absolutely amazing! I love every second of it.Playing on normal with old school mode on, it's just the type of challenge I want in games. It's not unfair (I could almost say it's perfectly balanced) and when you die, you know it was because you were too careless and didn't think ahead. The puzzles are really clever, they actually do require some thinking. The beginning ones are simple riddles, but you can definitely feel how they get more and more difficult with each new puzzle.I highly recommend that people that like RPG's pick this gem up. brokenergy
It reminds me of some of the old RPGs I had around as a kid. Love it
Halororor
I've been playing it since release. It's pretty good, if a bit monotonous at times. Only real criticism I have that can be considered a detracting factor is that the game is entirely linear. It would have been so much better if they made procedurally generated dungeons and just kept the puzzles scripted.

I think there is a map maker coming out though.

The devs said that it was random at first, but I think the puzzles were a problem and they changed it to the hand crafted style.Yes, there will be a map editor and the developers also said that they are looking into the randomly generated dungeons thing. Halororor
Yeah, I think there is a good chance we'll be getting future campaigns as well, considering that there is a box in which to select the campaign you want to play.
