ROTLANGREVOLVER
Hi allI thought it would be great to had a Power Armor chest modification that allows for a container to be placed on the back. for example, you have the options of Jetpack, Tesla, etc, and then portable storage. The container could be accessed from outside the power armor like any other static container in the world. I know there are mods that allow for power armors to contain items but these need to be set up through holotape menus. Not sure its possible? ROTLANGREVOLVER
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24089I have seen these before, This mod adds a great aesthetic and increased capacity. What I'm curious about is weather its possible to mod a container onto power armor that acts independently to your inventory. I.e: Instead of the increased carry weight to inventory, to access the goods, you would need to hop out and activate the container.
montky
yes, it is possible to have a hidden container ref associated with the armor node; i thought container-associations were ubiquitous and not really a 'mod' as such hehe.case in point, look at how the JunkJet functions for inspiration.I modded the lazer-gatlings to be more like the JunkJet, therefore allowing the Power-Armor "Fire Fuel Cell" command,to also apply to Lazer Gatling etc. (you can put JunkJets inside JunkJets if you alter what category of stuff the Junkjet container will allow... infini-stuff pseudo-container hehe)you can make a mod-slot on your custom torso armor be the container reference. you could model a custom torso piece with like a shackled vault-tec/lockers all chained to it,replete with movement and turn-rate penalties proportional to the amount of crud in said container...the container could damage what is inside it based on its current DR state... the more damage you take while with it,the more it will destroy your contents... or, you could just designate faces on the model as the container access-point and let the torso piece itself be already it.(it's pretty roomy inside a t49, right?)thats why there are ways to set it up via a holo-tape update-n-propagate routine;you can then apply that to a given instance, rather than the entire class etc. the trade off is -you have to be out of the power armor to access it,you cannot order companions to loot that hidden container (that would be a hyperdefined Sorites Paradox) ----If you want to see what is on your current power armor framefrom within the pipboy menu...you would additionally need to mod the "Better Pipboy UI/HUD and Better Settlement Menus".you would need to point it to the get-that from last-on-event entry event into the power-armor frame,to populate the menu that way. you could then also modify that 'medic' power armor torso,to only take the stimpaks that you put into the container on the medic-power-armor,and NEVER from any other source on your person ---this annoyed a lot of players hehe. it'd thieve your stimpaks until they were all gone.
