Cod3monk3y
'Lo all, After spending the vast majority of my time playing Oblivion as a thieving, murdering, blood-sucking thug; I've decided to switch sides. I started up a new character, who I'm guiding along the main quest, along with the Knights of the Nine expansion. I love the expansion, though I feel that the art on the armour is lacking. Perhaps it's just me, but the Crusader Armour just seems too blocky and bland. Anyway, I'm trying to replace the stock Crusader Armour with the models of Jerros' Lost Paladins of the Divines Wrath and Fury armours (Heavy and Light respectively.) I opened up the Construction Set and went about replacing all the stock models of the Crusader Armour with the Wrath armour. It went smoothly, up until I saved, quit, and reopened the CS. It reverted the armour back to the stock models, but copied the edited Crusader Armour into another category. Now, what am I doing wrong? I'll be the first to admit, I've little to no experience using the CS. Is it possible to directly edit Betheseda's ESPs? What kind of workaround can I use? Thanks -CM
TheEvanBob
Im pretty sure you have to make a whole new .esp not just edit the official one.)I've had the same problems with other games)
jaysus
just open the meshes.bsa with any bsa explorer proggie and then make the exact same directories in the data folder... somin like data/meshes/armor/blablabla and place your models inside
Cod3monk3y
TheEvanBob: I've tried to whip together a new .esp, but I wasn't quite sure how to get the models to override the stock models. Jaysus: I'm using BSA Commander. I've hit a bit of a snag. Once I've extracted the Knights.bsa file into three separate folders (meshes, sound, textures) and replaced them with the Lost Paladins meshes and textures, I'm unsure what to do next. Do I replace the original Knights.bsa with my edited one? If so, how do I convert the three folders back into a .bsa compressed format? Thanks, -CM
LHammonds
Once you extract the BSA file in the Data folder, you need to move or delete the BSA or the plugin will pick up the ones in the BSA file rather than the extracted ones. LHammonds
