TheMastersSon
Haven't seen specs posted here yet for the new Vive Pro, so here they are in case anyone is interested. https://www.windowscentral.com/htc-vive-pro Roomscale size was doubled (15' to 32'), horizontal resolution per eye was increased from 1080 to 1440, vertical resolution was bumped from 1200 to 1600, and PPI was substantially increased from 450 to 615. Those last two features should improve the so-called screen door effect of earlier VR headsets. The Pro's headset was redesigned to block more ambient room light than the older Vive, which should also benefit immersion. The clincher for us was HTC's wise decision to keep the Vive's features intact on the Pro, that many or most gamers really want. Or at least that we want. :) Specifically wired connections and the option to use our own audio headphones. Early info suggested wireless and integrated audio (with on-the ear headphones, which I consider useless for game immersion) would be incorporated into the Pro's design, so I'm very glad they're just options. Vive's audio set is available now and the wireless is coming later this year. Edited March 16, 2018 by TheMastersSon
