Please create a new forum for translations and monitor your website closely

Hi Nexus,

I often see many mods that are "translations" of famous mods. Can your site move those translation mods to a new forum called translations.

Because I am looking for brand new mods, I often see them.

Please.

Can you also check on certain modders who straight away delete negative feedback or bug reports?

This will affect other people's saved games or adding a redundant mod which adds nothing to their games.

Allowing certain users the ability to delete any comments will result in a lot of issues.

Please I am not a troublemaker, I start using your website for 2 or 3 months, I install many mods which have receive nothing but compliments. I have to learn everything the hard way (CTDs). I slowly complile a list of good mods (learn by experience) for future gameplay. I hope more users voice out.

you can actually filter away translations (I did it several months ago , and it really does help)

but there is no real reason to move these mods to a different site

just change your preferences , and make sure translations don't show up

as for mod authors deleting feedback and bug reports , can you provide any specific proof for this?

because I know of many cases where the deleted content is simply people not following the instructions the mod author has provided , or people going directly against what a mod author is saying (and if a mod author states that a specific type of comments will be deleted , there is nothing to be done about it . it is their own prerogative to do so)

I doubt most mod authors will remove constructive criticism (and comment saying 'this mod sucks , I hate this' don't really have a place here)

as for bug reports , they are usually removed if they can't be replicated by anyone else , and proven to not be related to the actual mod

if you have any specific concerns , feel free to approach one of the admins with this personally (this should be done in private , rather than out in the open forum) . otherwise , there is nothing here to really complain about . there is no way for the admins to look through every single comment in every part of the site , it's just impossible . so it is up to mod authors to decide how to moderate their own comment sections , within the limitations of this site's TOS

again , if you have specific concerns , there are ways to approach this (the report button is one way , if you feel a comment has no place here) , and you should direct this to an admin of your choice in a more specific manner , if you feel this is appropriate

If you are trying to avoid translation mods, the best way to do so would be to block the appropriate tag in your content blocking settings, which can be accessed here: https://www.nexusmods.com/users/myaccount?tab=content+blocking

By blocking the "translation" tag, those files that have been tagged by the author or community will not be shown in your file listings. However, if you do see any translation files while this option is enabled, your help tagging those files appropriately is very much appreciated.

Can you also check on certain modders who straight away delete negative feedback or bug reports?

Currently, authors are free to choose who they interact with on our site, including the ability to block and ignore users who have commented on their files. At this time, we don't feel like doing so constitutes abuse or misuse of our systems. That said, if you are aware of any files that are malicious or intentionally destructive, please be sure to report them so that our staff can review.

Hope this is helpful. If you have any questions or concerns, you can feel free to contact me directly. Thanks.
