[LE] Adding crafting recipes to a lot of items

Recommended Posts

Hi there people! So... here's my question: Let's say I want to add 20 new Items to my game but I want them to have a crafting recipe. Is there a way to apply the same crafting ingredients and crafting recipe to ALL Items?.

I just want to know if there's a quick way to do this because adding a crafting recipe to each individual item is very time consuming.
Maybe using some kind of script in TES5Edit or something?

I don't know about the possibilities in TES5Edit, but batch editing is not possible in the CK for anything else than object references (and reference aliases to some extent). It should be relatively quick though to just duplicate your recipe 20 times and change the "created object" (and the object ID if you feel like it) for each of them.

You can do this pretty quick using a combination of CK and xedit. Or if you have the script just xedit. From CK you group select the items to be crafted and right click. There's an option to create a crafting recipe in there. From there you can go setup one of the items with the ingredients and crafting bench and what not. Then save. Go fire up xedit and navigate to your recipes. Again group select in xedit. right click them and select compare selection. Now on the right side go down to the ingredients in the left cell and right click. choose to sort on it and it should pull your recipe filled one to the front. Now the cool part. Right click the empty box of the ingredients header section above the recipe list. If you got the right one you'll see an option to copy to selected records. Hit that and check the ones you want. When ready hit ok.
