Performance problem with AA

Hi all,

i'm running Skyrim on my brand new Radeon 7870 runnig at 1240 Mhz (Core) + 5800 Mhz (Memory). When i change the AA settings in the CCC from Multi Sampling AA to SSAA i get a HUGE performance drop (before >60 fps with vsync, GPU at ~70% load) to 15fps. Given that my graphics card is supposed to be super fast I hope someone here can maybe help me with that problem.

Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 OC 2GB

Win 7 64 bit

newest Catalyst Driver

 

 

edit: Before you ask. I am using a bunch of mods but switching them off doesn't change my problem
