Adipose
I downloaded a character mod via a Steam subscription. The mod brought along an Akaviri race mod. I deleted the character mod but the race mod remained to cause problems with a Requiem install. I looked at Steam but nothing leaped out as to how to close out a subscription. Finally, I just went into NMM plugins and unchecked the race box. I'd gone into data and deleted it more than once but it still popped back. I looked in Skyrim mods and couldn't find it. I really, really dislike mods that do this. Not the first time this has happened but the first time I couldn't get to the root and get rid of it. I suspect that it pops back after deletion because Steam restores it...or so I'm led to believe after reading a footnote on the Skyrim menu page. I suppose that I need to get back on Steam and look around until I find the data I need. PITB that is. The race mod isn't even particularly useful. On my comp it simply makes use of the same presets as the Imperial race.
IsharaMeradin
To unsubscribe from a Steam mod, you need to return to the mod's workshop page and press unsubscribe. Look for where the subscribe button was located, that will be where the unsubscribe button is at. The button itself is a toggle which changes based on subscription status. In the future, should you wish, you can subscribe to a Steam mod, launch the game launcher, let the mod download, exit the game launcher, navigate to the game directory, create a z7/zip/rar archive of the Steam mod, unsubscribe from the Steam mod, ensure that it is gone, install the new archive via mod manager of choice.
