yourmomswife
Ok so I have Skyrim on PC. It used to work just fine, then when I tried to load my save my game would crash. I re-installed the game and this problem was still occurring. I deleted every single mod I had, re-installed the game and I'm still having problems. Every time I click new game all the text disappears and I just see the skryrim logo while the music plays. I downloaded a character save but that save crashes at the loading screen. I bought make game through steam so it is fully updated. I don't know what to do. Please help

SubjectProphet
Heh, well, that's simple. The save game you downloaded relies on content you don't have. You're missing something that the save game runs off of. Check the file again to see the requirments, and make sure you have them.
yourmomswife
Ok but what about the fact that I can't start a new game on my own
SubjectProphet
Well, after reading the problem over again, it may be you're computer. If you can, post specs? You may not be able to run Skyrim period. And if you're firewall or taskmanager is preventing Steam from running, that's another cause. 1.5 MUST have Steam running. hangarspace
Sometimes I've had this and find loading an older save kicks it into action, however that's not going to help you much now. I would uninstall the game, then go and delete any remaining skyrim folder and maybe delete the skyrim ini files from your games folder,, perhaps rename the folder they are in to get your saves back. Basically, remove any trace of it rom your pc then do a full clean reinstall from scratch and see what happens. Do you know where the relevant folders are?
