Team For Huge Free DLC

FreeDLC

Recommended Posts

Hello good people.

My name is Daniel and recently I thought about something, with all the DLC that was released for Fallout New Vegas it seems that no actually good releases were made except Old World Blues maybe.

In my opinion Bethesda games were always living long thanks to the great modding community, and I believe its time to give Fallout fans some fun while they are waiting for another expansion or a new game.

I want to make a free DLC, a big one, and thats why I need a team of deticated people who can help.

When I was thinking of the idea I realised my skills and the numbers I had (only me) arn't enough for a big project like that. So I need you people to help me acomplish something that will be fun to everyone across the whole world who enjoy Fallout.

Before I go on I want to say that this is a free DLC no money will be made of it and no payment for the work, only the joy in making it and having thousands play what you created :)

I will be directing this project. I am specializing in wiriting, scripting, designnening levels and limited voice acting.

I am looking for additional writers to write the main story with me and side quest writing.

Also for 3D modelers (Sorry for bad english if I mispelled it).

Voice acting I need lots and lots of voice actors.

And thats about it so if you are intrested please let me know at [email protected], or reply here with your email adress in here, or send me a PM.

If you want to know more details please send me a message and I'll explain if you would like to know the story then download the text file from the links.

The first thing you should do, sir, is set your sights a bit lower. Point blank, you probably won't complete your project if otherwise. I have had two good friends, very good modders, suggest developing a quest mod half (or 2/3) the size of your average DLC. Because in reality....you're not going to get a team of talented developers who know workflow (if you assemble a team).

I say this from experience, because I am currently developing a quest mod similar to what people would expect from DLCs. Just not at that scale. Instead of focusing on scale, I would suggest focusing on one of two things:

1) A good story. The longest adventures aren't always the best

2) Some unique gameplay element. Lonesome Road had you traveling down a linear path, learning about your past. Dead Money had your life tied to 3 other strangers, all trying to survive. New Vegas began with you trying to get to this haven of a place, New Vegas, to find the guy who shot you. Try and make your own unique situation, or gameplay mechanic, that is just as involving.

Also too, modders are big on credibility. Best you post some proof that you know what you're doing in regards to your "skills". Anyone can post a mod idea, few can make it a reality.

Cheers.

At any rate if I couldnt do anything it would be revieled very early in the process, its hard to make any sort of mods to prove anything because just about anything is very simple unless its big, for example I can post a few mods I made with my other account but whats the point? Its a fairly large mod I made compared to reguler releases and it was a spell pack bundle, outfits, followers and new area all in one for Skyrim, but the thing is just about everyone on google for about 1 hour can learn to script in Papayrus.

Although if many are doubting what I can do I am working on a House mod that I will release soon.
