WMMangus Posted March 24, 2018 Share Posted March 24, 2018 Greetings Everyone, I am having some difficulty getting the Project Purity Quest to complete. I have previously cleaned all the super mutants out of the Jefferson Memorial, including the basement areas. After rescuing James from the Tranquility simulation, meeting him in the Science Lab at Rivet City and agreeing to meet him at the Jefferson Memorial, I fast traveled there and waited for James and the team to show up. They eventually do but stand around outside. They do not enter the Gift Shop. Talking with James, he instructs me to clean out the area. I go in, but everything is just as I'd left it earlier -- everyone still dead. Returning, there is no dialog option to tell James the area has been clean out. I've reset the quest (00014e8b), sending everyone back to Rivet City but the same thing happens. How can I get James and the team to enter the Gift Shop and make their way to the Rotunda to continue the story? Thanks for any help. WMM Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
M48A5 Posted March 24, 2018 Share Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) I can think of a few things that might be causing this. I checked the Fallout 3 Wiki and it does not mention this occurring. Therefore, it must be something in your game causing this. One of the first things I thought of was that you missed one or more of the super mutants in the basement area. I suggest you go through the entire area again and make sure there are no lingering enemies. If the area was completely cleared before you left Rivet City, the greeting outside the Jefferson Memorial would not occur and the Project Purity team would proceed directly to the rotunda. Or, it could be caused by a bad load order. Needed to reset mutant count : set mqo3.bodyCount to 14: Thanks for the reply "Seems Marts Mutant Mod actually removed one of the scripted mutants and regular setstage commands would glitch the quest even further."
