chris05478
So. My friend has been making compatibility patches for himself for mods that he uses for Fallout 4. Some of these mods have not been updated since 2016, and the people who created / uploaded them have not logged into the Nexus for over a year.... Was just wondering if there was a rule about "Dead mods / inactive creators" where you can upload compatibility patches for mods without the creators permission if they have not been active on the Nexus. LadyMilla
There is no "dead man" rule. We require explicit permissions unless the mod author's description already includes those permissions. If there is no permission in the description and you are unable to contact the author, then you do not have permission, which means that you cannot upload your modified version.
