yes, all of these messages are pathetic. however not any more so than any other trolling. i think chicks don't get trolled so much in real life as they do online and get cramps. welcome to the internet ladies.

The really poor choice of words often heard online isn't limited to ones virtual life. There are times at my college/on the shuttle home where people ability speak properly hurts my head. It is not uncommon for today's youth (unfortunately my generation) to use profanity as an adjective or use the word 'like' as a vocabulary booster. There have been some unforgettable cases which rise well above others. I remember on one shuttle ride home there was a woman who was probably 'liking' at 60 likes/minute, and this went on for a good 10-15 minutes. Needless to say it was a painful trip home and I have no idea how anyone could retain a word she actually spoke because the word was used so frequently that it became extremely destructive to the flow of the words.

I heard someone on tv once where almost every phrase was followed by "Know what I'm sayin'?" I thought "No know what I'm sayin I don't know what I'm sayinf because every other word know what I'm sayin is followed by know what I'm sayin!"

 

As for the rest, I've been very lucky in games like WoW. I get blasted for making poor choices or whatever, but not yet for being female.

I'll be honest its not just gamer girls, its everyone.

 

X-Box live has certain games that just draws in the idiots that have no verbal or social skills and due to anon state of the net just let loose with all their vile core.

 

Reddit could have a subreddit just for x-box live messages that feature racism, bigottry, homophobia, and general abuse and their server's HDD array would be full in around 2 seconds.

 

 

I recieved torrents of abuse in the past just because im British.

 

Oh yes, and I forgot. People telling me I am gay and I should set myself on fire and throw myself off a bridge because I play Alliance in WoW.

 

It got so bad Blizzard actually tried to force everyone to use their real names, but the player base reacted rather badly to this suggestion, mostly because one of blizzards community managers gave out his name to prove the playerbases fear of privacy where unfounded, and then someone dug up all his information including the address and phone number of his parents.

Yeah, there's a medical technique to prevent someone bleeding out if they lose a leg, whack 'em in the nuts. I expect some soldiers might give the offender a refresher course.

i can understand if i hear fu** as an single word when dying, but raging like that is just stupid. if you cant control your anger and must rage at every person better than you then dont play because i cant understand why you play just to rage.

Common stuff. In the internet, every male gamer is a virgin, every hacker is a basement dwelling nerd and every female gamer is fat and/or a lesbian.

 

Ah, and i forgot, every single one CoD player (yep, that one too) is a 12 year old kid.

ROFLOL so wrong. I know of at least two femal gamers (CLOSE friends) who play xbox and are not fat nor lesbian. actualy very VERY atractive.... kinda sucks they're taken LOL.

 

Also every male gamer is not virgin. haha I get laid almost every night by my fiance(I work at same place as her and I go to her house everynight, kind of a nice thing :) I actualy get time with her haha). Of course before I met her I was a gamer but I still am and she has no real problem with it.

 

as for the COD players Black ops isn't bad it does have a few people who sound like kids but as earlier posts suggest it may be a girl OR it could be they changed the voice settings to be annoying.

People need some way to get in touch with their emotions. Sure, you may be yelling and screaming because you just got headshotted at 50 yards while you were trying to lob a grenade through that window and succeeded in fragging your whole squad; but some of that rage is also part of your own frustrations with work, relationships, or other stuff that you really can't direct towards those things without destroying them.

 

As for dumbfounding moments of idiotic comments... Those happen any time people open their mouths and don't have something important to say... Watch early morning news programs sometimes. Any amount of banter inevitably heads toward the gutter or towards outright bigotry.
