BurntBiscuit
I've encountered a really frustrating bug which leaves the game pretty unplayable and I believe it has something to do with the many mods I have installed. The problem: When selecting the appropriate, shop related conversation option, there is quite a big delay between that and the buy/sell window actually showing up. The delay can last up to a minute and sometimes longer. During this delay, I can exit the conversation, talk to other NPCs, leave the cell, check my map and inventory and even go on a murderous rampage. The same sort of delay occurs when trying to complete a quest objective. Upon doing whatever the quest tells me to, it can take up to a minute before my quest log updates. When it started: I made a clean install of Skyrim sometime last weekend and decided to install a bunch of mods. After a few hours of gameplay, the problem came up when trying to give the guy in the Riverwood trader his goldon claw back. The quest took forever to update and his shop interface also took its time. After this I started a new character, only for the same problem to occur with Alvor's shop interface the first time I turned up in Riverwood. What I've tried: I've tried using earlier saves. They seemed to work, only for the problem to surface later. I have also tried unloading all the ESPs and ESMs. This worked and even saves that had the problem before where cured, but obviously this isn't really the option I want to take. I'd like to keep the mods around. I also tried activating and deactivating mods separately, although there are so many I wasn't able to complete a comprehensive test. For what it's worth, I did uninstall the latest mods I activated, but the problem persisted. I was able to find random combinations in which the game would work, but they didn't appear to have much in common with one another. My specs:CPU Intel i7 2600k 3.2GHZ Quad coreGPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 (with updated drivers)RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3 OS: Windows 7 Home PremiumMod Manager: Nexus Mod ManagerLauncher: Skyrim script Extender (SKSE) Because of the amount of mods I have installed and the way NMM works, I have resorted to screencapping the list of active ESMs and ESPs. In addition to these, there are many texture mods at work as well as ENB. However, I doubt these relates to the problem, If you can help, that would be incredible. Note: I'm currently re installing Skyrim, but it won't be done until tomorrow morning I reckon. So I'm putting this up now just in case someone can figure out a different solution.
