Philogosten
I would like if you can equip torso slot that is different than the pants you want to wear like in Morrowind and Oblivion. Like being able to equip the executioners top or Nightingale top with vampire royal armor pants. So maybe adding a second version of the vanilla/dlc armors that allows mix and matching if that makes it easier. For those like me that will only ever play as a male character that would be a godsend since there aren't a lot of great armor options for men since either the top will be cool and the pants are too tight or the pants look good but the top is bulky around the waist. DMan1629
Interesting proposition. That does sound like an interesting idea, but you might not like this post: Good news: It's possible! Bad news: let's put this shortly: it's a huge project... Explanation:All of the armors you see in-game (maybe a few are an exception) have the pants model together with the armor model. They are one item.It is possible to separate them - it's not very hard, to be frank. But the issue is with the sheer amount of them. When you start counting how many armors are in the game (chest parts), you'll see it piles up to a lot of items.Even after you separate them, you need to add the pants into the game as new items. The last point I mentioned is problematic because a lot of perks and mods rally on the fact that the player has only 4 armor slots - Head, Chest, Hands, Boots. There is no pre-designated slot for pants - still possible to add them though - so it brings up the following problem:Should you add the pants as part of the original set and mess with stuff like "Full Set Bonus", or not to do that but then they are just standalone items that don't quite fit. Although there is a sort of an easy way - have the pants as clothing, not as armor pieces and then they'll just be a fashion choice. Anyway, let me know what you meant. It's an interesting concept and might work on it after I'm done with my own projects.Cheers! Philogosten
Oh I didnt even really know about armor set bonuses since I never put perk points into the armor trees. I see what you mean about it taking a while due to the numbers. could it be done where you just make one pair of pants from the royal vampire lord armor that you can just equip on the character model despite another armor being on? For instance since Nightingale has very tight pants if someone equipped the new pants it would just cover the legs on the model. Obviously that would clip badly with most armors however since its really just to cover up and skinny legged or pantless armor like Saviors hide (which looks silly on men due to its lack of pants) I don't think that would be a problem. kodragon
I think the easiest fix for this issue, for vanity's sake, would be to add pants which are replicas of armor set pants and clothing set pieces. One could buy them at Radiant Rainment with names such as:'Emperor's Pantaloons' *Definitely visible and not imaginary at all!'Wedding Groom Trousers' (Detachable only in the Honeymoon Suite in the Emperor Palagius Wing of the Blue Palace.)'Necromancer Knickers' (Nothing says 'Fear me' like these lacy leggings!)'Magic Mike Mage Underoos' (Violating two trademarks at once!)'High Falutin' Lord Panties' (For the man who spends way too much time up the Jarl's backside.)'Sleazy Sorcerer Slacks' (When you want to look respectable as you ask, "You think Restoration IS a valid school of magic, don't you?")'Dragon Priest Dungarees', (Some things thankfully don't rot away.)'Chafing Chainmail Chinos', (Strategic pinching guaranteed.) etc.I think the ridiculous names add value to the absurdity of armor which adds no protection and yet looks good on a shirtless character...TBH I spent way too much time thinking of those names.
