Agnusthemagi
Since I posted the same in the modding section and nobody seemed to know anything, here I go again:I just started a new game with many mods installed, and I've noticed some sidequests dont start: love letter in Riverwood, neither of the npcs has a dialog for it. In whiterun, Amren, Ysolda and Uthgerd dosent start their quests also.I hightly suspect a mod might be the culprit, but couldnt track down which one as I had many installed from my ongoing games, and there those quests worked fine.Anybody has seen anything similar happen? thompsonar
Never happened to me but since you said they were working fine in previous games, I'd check out whichever mods you installed recently. Not sure if just deactivating the mod and then reloading the save to check will work or if you'd have to deactivate and then start a new game. Just go one at a time, pain in the butt yes but usually works. I'd start with any mods that change looks / actions of npcs and move on from there (can probably skip weapon and texture mods but you never know). Could also just try starting over again to see if it's just some sort of glitch, or waiting for a few days (ingame) and see if the quests start to trigger. edit: also isn't there a console command to reset an npc? I don't know what it is but you could look it up on a wiki site. Edited April 20, 2012 by thompsonar

Reseting npcs wont work, in this case, tried it.I tried removing the latest mods, didnt work also.I'm wondering if it was not an already estabilished mod (one I have for some time now), but since I didnt create a new game for some time now I didnt notice this until now.Tried disabling all mods, and starting over, no good. Probably something that is in the data folder also. Oh well, probably gonna have to try renaming data folder also.I read somewhere the radiant quest system constantly bugs, but this is sounding like a mod conflict. EDIT: Good news! I found the culprit, it was an innocent mod, that didnt have anything to do with npcs Sleeping Dangers - Sands of Time. According to the author it had this bug on earlier versions, it's been sorted out in version 1.5 so it should be safe now! pygothian
Never had that one in particular, but the dragonclaw one happened to me. Only way I could get it to work was a restart since it had just began, and it then worked wiout any mod changes.
