RenegadeElement
So I am trying to understand modding a little more and I want to avoid pitfalls that ended my last modded play, does anyone have experience that they could lend to avoiding any blatant problems in my setup, as loot fails to organize the setup correctly.Below is my current plugin load order in mo2*SkyUI_SE.esp*UnreadBooksGlow.esp*HoldtoSprintSSE1.4.esp*WeightOV - Balance - Potion.esp*Better Vampires.esp*Vampirelordroyal.esp*BVandRoyalBloodline_Patch.esp*icepenguinworldmapclassic.esp*AcquisitiveSoulGemMultithreaded.esp*D13JarrinRoot.esp*FloraRespawnFix.esp*Better Harvesting (animal loot version).esp*PoisoningExtended.esp*SteelFromIron.esp*WeightOV - Balance - DragonboneScale.esp*WeightOV - Book.esp*WeightOV - Lightweight - AxePickaxe.esp*cheery_AetherArtifactsCrafting-r2.esp*LeveledItemsLevelWithYou.esp*Ish's Souls to Perks.esp*EBM_PerkTweaks.esp*PickpocketReset.esp*KS Hairdo's.espI would be thankful for any help you can give
3aq
Categorize your esp as what they do then follow the order below, it isn't perfect (nothing is) but from personal testing and usage it's better than LOOT auto generated one. Required esmsWorld changes espOverhaul espsGame mechanic changes espsItem/spell espsFollower espsCharacter replacers (textures and what not)PatchesNote: The lowest takes priority. If you think something isn't to your liking, or you prefer a specific mod change, simply move said mod lower down the list. There is no perfect load order as everyone has his or her own preference on their tastes. Edited April 1, 2018 by 3aq
RenegadeElement
So about patches? what do I do about patches on patches? put them all at the bottom of the list in the correct order? And thank you that is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for
3aq
yup patches for patches go even further down since u'd want them to override the changes of the patch you want to patch... eg. your patches followed by smash patch followed by merge patch followed by dsr patch
RenegadeElement
um explain the jargon? please? So I smash then merge then moo then patch?
3aq
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=smash+patch+skyrim+se http://lmgtfy.com/?q=merge+patch+skyrim+se http://lmgtfy.com/?q=skyrim+se+dsr+patch when in doubt use google, what I listed is just an example of patches that patch other patches. cheers
